I have been in the Rockwall area since 2006. My patients often ask me how I became involved in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Well, my Korean mother often went to an acupuncturist for her medical problems and always had great results. I worked as an emergency room technician while attending school for my bachelor's in Paralegal Science. During my time in the emergency room I learned alot about the western approach to medicine. I, along with the majority of my patients, wanted to find an alternative to prescribed drugs or tests that were costly and nonessental. I was curious about acupuncture and how it worked but thought I would have to go to china to learn. Then one day while driving into downtown Dallas, I saw an advertisement on the back of a bus for the Dallas College of Oriental Medicine.... thus beginning my journey into the unknown.
Through my own experience and extensively learning different techniques, I have a greater confidence and understanding of traditional chinese medicine. Depending on how your body reacts to acupuncture the results can be slow or you may find one treatment did the trick.
